PIETRA GREY
Pietra Gray is a grey calcite marble with a uniform, compact appearance. Its colour is mainly due to the presence of elements such as carbon and graphite. The base tone ranges from taupe to anthracite grey; consistent feature is the fine white streaking and occasional slate-coloured veining, which add brightness and visual movement overall.
Although pietra gray is moderately hard and resistant to weathering, it is not particularly resistant to fr ost or acids. For this reason, it is mainly used for interior design in dry environments and is commonly specified for flooring and st air coverings. A polished or brushed finish best highlights the stone’s aesthetic qualities. Depending on the processing, it can also be used in other settings, from classic to modern. For example, bush-hammering or sandblasting can create a pietra gray-like surface with good slip resistance, making it suitable for outdoor applications.
